History of Protestantism in Modern Japan
My research is on the life and thoughts of Rev. Joseph Hardy Neesima, who founded the Doshisha in 1875. His institute is now the largest Christian school in Japan. This accomplishment testifies to the great and leading role Neesima played in modern Japan, particularly in the history of education and religion. |
