Jewish Studies and Biblical Studies
The history of biblical interpretation in Judaism is my major subject. In particular, my studies involve the Qumran treatments with Scripture, the philological aspects of Rabbinic Midrash, and the medieval Jewish exegesis in the context of Spinoza's historical criticism, including the medieval Hebrew grammarian theories and the 19th century Christian biblical criticism in the eyes of Jewish studies. |
